Scope

This standard specifies a method to determine the boiling range distribution of hydrocarbons in stabilised crude oil, see note 1, up to and including
n-nonane.

NOTE 1 Stabilised crude oil is defined as having a Reid vapour pressure equivalent to or less than 82,7 kPa as determined by IP 481 [7].

NOTE 2 These results can be combined with those from IP 545 to give a full boiling point distribution of crude oil.
