Scope
This Standard specifies two methods for the determination of the electrical rest conductivity of aviation and distillate fuels, with or without a static dissipator additive. One using a portable meter for the direct measurement in tanks or laboratory.
The other using an in-line meter for continuous measurement of fuel conductivities equivalent to rest conductivity) in a flowing stream.‘ The standard is applicable to aviation and distillate fuels with conductivities in the range of 1 to 1500 pSm, The test method can be used to determine values outside this range but there is no precision for these values.
NOTE - When measuring coductivities greater than 15000 follow the equipment manufacturer’s instructions
