This standard specifies a method for the determination of the hydrogen oil content of water effluent, in the milligram per kilogram range.

NOTE 1 Two calibration and calculation procedures are described. One involves the generation and use of a calibration graph and is suitable for all instruments; the other involves the solving of simultaneous equations and is suitable for instruments with computer control. In addition, procedures are given for both single and double beam instruments.
