This standard describes a test method for the determination of the temperature below which solid hydrocarbon crystals form in aviation turbine fuels. This test method can be used over the temperature range of −80 to 20 °C, but the precision was only determined over the range 42 °C to −60 °C. The test method can be used to determine values outside this range but there is no precision for these values.
