This standard describes a test method for the determination of the temperature below which solidhydrocarbon crystals form in aviation turbine fuels.

This test method can be used over the temperature range of −80 to 20 °C, but the precision was only determined over the range 42 °C to −60 °C.
The test method can be used to determine values outside this range but there is no precision for these values.

WARNING - This standard does not purport to address all of the safety problems associated with its use. It is the responsibility of the user of this standard to establish appropriate safety, health and environmental practices and determine the applicability of regulatory limitations prior to use.
