This publication has been prepared for those persons involved in the order management aspect of an independent inspection and specifically as an aid to identifying all of the information required. It is intended to assist both those who send nomination instructions to independent inspection companies and those receiving and confirming the nominations.
Order management is the first part of any independent inspection intervention and is the part of the process where the details and requirements are specified. If these are incomplete, inadequate or not fully understood by all parties then it is unrealistic to expect an acceptable or satisfactory end result. This second edition includes revised sections on Order Review and Tank Inspection/Assessment and includes other updates to improve clarity and reflect current good practice.
The publication should be of interest and benefit to operators and others within oil and trading companies who are generating inspection company nominations and also to the inspection companies who are receiving these instructions.
