The Crown Estate and the Energy Institute (EI) have collaborated on the development of this publication which aims to support the safe and successful delivery of renewable energy projects for the UK.
This guideline was produced to assist developers in planning offshore renewable industry operations with particular focus on offshore wind farms in the UK. Its scope covers six main areas:
- regulatory framework;
- health and safety management;
- vessel selection, matrix and flowchart;
- vessel assurance audit;
- major construction equipment audit, and
- training and competencies.
This publication can also benefit the supply chain by providing an overview of developer’s expectations. As a consequence, the supply chain may adopt a more integrated approach in many aspects of project planning.
