Provides information and data to assist in the design of low energy, environmentally-friendly buildings. It is being offered as half of a two-part package on weather, which is the result of four years work and a Government grant of over a quarter of a million pounds. The other part of the package, hourly datasets for three UK areas and suitable for use with simulation software are available separately from CIBSE or the Met. Office.

Guide J provides information on the identification of hourly data sets for simulation, near-extreme warm and cold weather data and new CIBSE Test Reference Years (representative weather conditions for energy calculations). It also includes air pollution.

This guide is available in CD-ROM format and includes a software toolkit designed specifically for weather data analysis.
