Introductory guide to contaminated sediments
- Published: May 2013
- REF/ISBN: 9780852936481
- Edition: 1st
- Status: New
This short publication acts as an introductory companion to the more in-depth Guidance on characterising, assessing and managing risks associated with potentially contaminated sediments (ISBN - 978 085293 646 4). The technical guidance document has been developed to assist site owners, regulators, consultants and other stakeholders regarding approaches available to undertake sediment investigations, assessment and remediation. The document is intended to be used to guide decision-making on sites affected by sediment contamination, but also future decision-making regarding sediment management regulations.
The production of these guidelines has been steered within a cooperative EI and CONCAWE approach with respective representatives on the steering boards.
