Scope
This test method specifies a procedure for the laboratory distillation of organic liquids boiling between 30 °C and 300 °C which are chemically stable during the distillation process. It is applicable to organic liquids such as hydrocarbons, oxygenated compounds, chemical intermediates, and blends thereof. This test method provides a measurement of the distillation range and empirical values of residue, recovery, capacity and loss on heating, all of which properties may affect the efficiency of processes using organic liquids as solvents.
