Scope
Two methods are described for the identification and determination of coumarin (1,2-benzopyrone) in marked kerosine within the 0,2-4,0 mg/l range. A method is described in Annex A1 which may be useful for the qualitative detection of coumarin at levels lower than normal.
NOTE - The normal level of addition prescribed in the UK by HM Customs and Excise is 2 mg/l.
