This document provides guidance for additive operations on board ship relating to generally traded petroleum cargoes. It does not cover additives for chemical cargoes.
Introduction of additives on board ship can either be directly to the cargo tanks via vapour control valves or during cargo transfer via an approved injection spool piece fitted at the ship's manifold (preferred method).
