This publication provides guidance with regard to verification of analytical results obtained from samples of crude oil, oil products, gases and chemicals. It does not apply to jet fuel, which follows the requirements set out in EI/JIG 1530.

The objective of this guideline is to establish the practical process to obtain correct analysis results for the material tested. It is not designed to resolve disputes between parties as outlined in the ISO and ASTM documents above.
