The G+ is committed to providing the industry with information that will improve health and safety performance. Since the formation of the G+, members have been providing HSE information and statistics for analysis and in order to share lessons learned. By collecting, analysing and publishing incident data it demonstrates:

  • G+ leadership through the development of evidence based work programme, based upon HSE incident data.
  • An understanding and awareness of the HSE issues which form the basis for G+ member operations and stakeholder engagement.
  • A clear desire to improve the safety performance of G+ members and their contractors through the collection, analysis and sharing of HSE information on hazards.

The 2018 incident data report continues to provide an overview of the health and safety performance of the G+ members' offshore wind activities, including the holistic industry benchmarking metrics of lost time injury frequency (LTIF) and total recordable injury rate (TRIR), which have experienced a remarkable improvement in 2018. This year, and for the first time, we have collected country-specific information. The complete anonymised 2018 incident data is also now available online on the G+ website.

The G+ hope that this report provides a reference for offshore wind health and safety, and continues to be a useful tool for industry to document the evolution and improvements in the sector’s performance.
