G+ is the global health and safety organisation for the global offshore wind industry. We bring together business leaders, health and safety experts and organisations operating in offshore wind. The G+ incident data report is published annually to provide an overview of the safety occurrences in that specific year in a structure which is consistent with previous years. This allows stakeholders to learn from past incidents and accidents effectively. This is a crucial step in providing key information and trends to stakeholders transparently and openly.
The 2022 data presented in this report saw a significant increase in the number of hours worked. A record-breaking 44.6 million hours worked represented a 38% increase on the previous year. The 2022 report shows that the Total Recordable Injury Rate (TRIR) and Lost Time Injury Frequency (LTIF) have continued a downward trajectory despite the record number of hours worked.
